Celebrating a 50th anniversary is a big deal. Being one of the oldest Jazz Festival in the world is even bigger! International headline acts, a programme of top new Zealand jazz musicians, hopefully sunny weather and a hugely popular Jazz Village will draw more than 60,000 people to the 50th national Jazz Festival in Tauranga at Easter Weekend. Aspiring youth bands will showcase their talents in the contest for the coveted national youth Jazz title. Take in the atmosphere at the Downtown Tauranga Festival- this famous carival takes over Tauranga's CBD on Saturday and Sunday when stages along the Strand, Red Square and Aspen Reserve turn the streets into one large concert venue.
