TECT Adopts Changes to Eligibility Rules for Cheque Distribution

The Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust (TECT) has changed the rules regarding eligibility for its annual cheque payout.
To be eligible to receive the TECT cheque in 2010, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a TrustPower Customer with an active power account in the Tauranga City or Western Bay of Plenty region at the cut-off dates; and
- Be registered as a TrustPower Customer from 1 April 2010 for at least a six month continuous period from that date.
TECT has distributed over $119 million direct to Consumers and the base amount has grown from $20 per Consumer in 1994 to $350 in the year ending 31 March 2010.
