Acorn Foundation
"The Gift That Keeps On Giving"
The Acorn Foundation is a Charitable Trust operating in Tauranga. It was established in 2003, to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their will to benefit the local community forever. People can also make gifts during their lifetime to build up their fund and maximise the tax rebates now available.

BayTrust
BayTrust will consider grants for organisations and projects which significantly help build, strengthen or enhance Bay of Plenty Communities. Projects and organisations should help achieve the Trust's Strategic Outcome areas including: Active Communities, Healthy Communities, Education, Cultural Heritage, Community Economic Developmen.  A high priority for funding is directed towards organisations or projects addressing identified areas of need in a community; Organisations with significant volunteer (unpaid) assistance; Important projects where BayTrust funding may act as a lever in attracting additional funding.

Department of Internal Affairs
Individuals, community and welfare groups can apply for a range of funding which is managed by the Department of Internal Affairs Local Government and Community Branch.

Environment BOP
Environment BOP's environment enhancement fund provides seed funding for community-based environment projects in the Bay of Plenty.

First Sovereign Trust NZ
First Sovereign Trust is licenced by the Department of Internal Affairs to operate gaming machines in NZ. The money raised from the operation of gaming machines is distributed by way of grants.

Fletcher Trust
Its aim is to help build a bright future for New Zealand's young people by supporting new initiatives in education that have the potential to positively impact on large numbers of young New Zealanders.

Grass Roots Trust
Grassroots is a charitable gaming machine trust. The Trust primarily fosters the amateur game of rugby union within NZ. It also has a mandate to support other amateur sport and organisations benefiting local communities.

Lion Foundation
The Lion Foundation’s purpose is to help good causes all around New Zealand. As a Charitable Trust, we grant millions of dollars every year to a huge range of clubs, charities and community groups from large to small, in areas as diverse as health, education, sports, arts and culture.

New Horizons for Women Trust Inc
The New Horizons for Women Trust supports second-chance education and training, research on issues affecting women and initiatives that promote peace.

New Zealand Community Trust
Kiwi’s love their sport, the NZCT loves to help them enjoy & participate in their sporting passions,  NZCT is excited about the difference it makes to sporting organizations across the country, whether it’s a school group or adult team, a national sports body or elite competitor, the NZCT helps New Zealander’s of all ages & abilities to take part in sport. 80% amateur sport funded.

Oxford Charitable Sports Trust
The Oxford Charitable Sports club distributes funds within NZ for the promotion of amateur sport

Producers Trust Inc
The Producers Trust was set up primarily to support amateur rugby and other sports in the areas it operates in.  Producers Trust generates funds for its authorised purpose by operating gaming machines in the Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.

Pub Charity
The focus is on supporting communities all over NZ. We make a huge difference to a wide range of local causes each year by returning millions of dollars in gaming machine proceeds to NZ communities.

Rotary Club Tauranga
The Rotary Club of Tauranga continues its strong tradition of community service.

Southern Stars Charitable Trust
Southern Stars is a Charitable Trust that is dedicated to providing a better life for special needs and disadvantaged children in New Zealand.

SPARC
At SPARC (Sport & Recreation New Zealand) we're dedicated to getting New Zealanders enjoying and excelling through sport and recreation. We focus on providing opportunities for New Zealanders to participate in recreation every day and getting more New Zealanders winning on the world stage.

Sutherland Self Help Trust
The Sutherland Self Help Trust provides grants to community organisations throughout New Zealand. Its current policy specifies the areas of interest for each year. Buildings & Equipment up to $50K.

The Southern Trust
The Southern Trust is always open for applications to benefit the community. We do not have any cut off dates. In most cases, applications are processed within 20 working days. Requests larger than $30,000 are reviewed at the next available monthly Board of Trustees meeting. Open to applicants in Tauranga City.

Tauranga City Council
The only funds Tauranga City Council has available are Event Investment funds. $200,000 is allocated each year to Flagship Events & small to medium projects. There are four sources of funding, (1) Community Assistance Fund, (2) Events Investment Funds, (3) Stewart Trust for relief of poverty and (4) Carruthers Trust for maintenance to houses for the elderly. TECT, in partnership with the Tauranga City Council, have contributed funding to major amenities for the greater Tauranga region including the Action Centres, Baywave TECT Aquatic & Leisure Centre and Tauranga Indoor Sports & Exhibition Centre.

Tindall Foundation
The Tindall Foundation is a philanthropic family trust established in 1995 by Stephen and Margaret Tindall.  Our guiding philosophy is to give a 'hand up' to New Zealanders in need.  Families, social service, environment, third sector funding.

The Trusts Charitable Foundation Inc
We are a National Charitable Trust distributing funds to the community of New Zealand from the proceeds of gaming machines operated in Licensing Trusts, private hotels, TABs and some sports clubs around NZ.  The Foundation support a broad cross section of non-profit community groups, charities, welfare agencies and educational organisations as well as many amateur sporting clubs and the Racing Industry.

Todd Foundation
The Todd Foundation is a private family philanthropy based in Wellington New Zealand. We provide funding to organisations that contribute towards our vision of New Zealand Aotearoa as a place where "everyone is able to contribute to the best of their ability in a society that values and nurtures young people, encourages endeavour and recognizes our cultural diversity".

Trillian Trust
The Trillian Trust was first licensed to operate gaming machines in 1999. Trilllian Trust is a boutique gaming machine operator, specializing in great service to both its venue operators and the community.  Trillian provides grants to many groups and organisations throughout the country, with a particular focus on children, youth and lifesaving.

Wayne Francis Charitable Trust
The Wayne Francis Charitable Trust is involved with a number of local, national, and international initiatives designed to foster the development of our young people.
As directed by Wayne Francis, the Trust donates a minimum of $100,000 each year to cancer research, and continually seeks opportunities to deliver support to medical and young people-related programmes with the potential for growth.

WBOP District Council
The main aim of the fund is to offer support to organisations and individuals with an activity or project that fits with Council’s long term plan and that benefits the residents and ratepayers of the Western Bay of Plenty District Council. Priority will be given to specific community based projects and community groups or individuals who are planning such projects. TECT, in partnership with the Western Bay of Plenty District Council, contributed funding to the Katikati Action Centre and TECT All Terrain Park.

Youthtown Inc
Youthtown has its own dedicated centres and also provides funding nationally and regionally to other youth programmes and organisations. Youthtown is a leading national youth organisation working with young people to help them raise their aspirations, realise their potential and have their achievements recognised.
