The Board is made up of six elected Trustees who all come from different backgrounds. Each Trustee brings experience, knowledge and a different perspective to the decisions of the Trust. What they have in common is a commitment to make sure TECT’s decisions are in the best interests of its Consumers, now and in the future.

Pete was elected as Trustee in July 2014 and re-elected in July 2018.
Pete retired as a Detective Sergeant in the NZ Police in 2014 and lives at the Mount with his wife and son, with 3 elder children having left home. Petes passion is to make this community a better place and as such has worked hard to make a difference with previous roles including:
- 37 years in the Police Force including 29 in the Western Bay of Plenty.
- Organiser for Tauranga Police CIB Luncheon and Tauranga Police Charity Golf Tournament – with nearly $2million raised and put back into local charity and community groups.
- Chair of BOP Decision Reach Out Trust which has provided leadership courses to over 250 local students over the past 15 years.
- Recipient of a QSM for Services to Police (2007), a Certificate of Achievement in the New Zealander of the Year (2010) and awarded BOP Times Person of the Year (2011).
Pete offers honesty, integrity and energy, plus a commitment to protect TECT’s asset base for the long-term good of the community.
