What we fund

TECT has a number of different funding schemes to assist community organisations with their projects.  

We recommend you contact our office to discuss your project before completing the application form.  Please ensure applications are submitted at least 3 months prior to final date you require a decision. Our team are always happy to discuss your application with you and to offer guidance and advice.

Western Bay Museum – a small museum that tells a big story!

Western Bay Heritage Trust (WBHT) was established to set up the Western Bay Museum to preserve, conserve, store and display the historic, noteworthy items and stories of the Western Bay region.  By establishing a permanent Museum that is accessible to the public and serves the community as a place of learning, fascination and research for heritage, history and taonga.

We take immense pride in the cultural, historical and artistic stories of our Western Bay of Plenty region and present these narratives in fresh & interesting ways. 

Temporary, ever changing exhibitions in the Taylor Bros Transport Ltd Gallery are developed and displayed at least three times a year, keeping displays fresh and exciting.

Our Education Programme takes students back to the 1900’s with our strict Head Mistress in our Seeka NZ Ltd interactive school room.

TECT Cardholder Discount: 50% off entry fees*

*Does not apply to group bookings or education programmes.  TECT Card must be shown on entry.

Group adult bookings are welcome.    Open 7 days a week.
