A successful hosting bid saw Tauranga City Basketball bring one of the games in a 3-games series of the Tall Black’s vs South Korea to Tauranga in July 2014.
TECT funding contributed toward the cost of hosting Korean players in Tauranga, venue hire costs and providing the thousands of local basketball players and fans an opportunity to see our national men’s basketball team in action.
The action-packed game created a fun and exciting atmosphere, and the win by the Tall Blacks’ topped off a great event.
